Countdown to Triathlon 2010

wow…. 5 weeks left, not freaking myself out though. I just need to finish the race that is it!  Focusing entirely on getting better at each sport.

Here is what I got done!

Sunday – rest day

Monday – Slow start to the week 2.5km in 24 minutes

Tuesday – 60 mins bike ride & 300 M drills swimming

Wednesday – 900m Swimming drills, getting the whole hang of breathing

Thursday – rest day

Friday – excellent steady 30-30 intervals 3km – 30 mins

Saturday – Bike 16km in 49 mins- HILLS – lots of hills

Things I learned this week:

  • not to be so hard on myself
  • keep trying, I can do it.

Goals for the Week July 11 – 17

Running – mon – try to cut 3 mins off my time (47 mins 5km) wed & fri work on speed.

Biking – 30 mins rides X3 during the week – 20km in 60 mins

Swimming – Tues, Wed, Thur – 45 mins – 1000m in drills

I am excited and I am hoping to start adding double workouts in during the next 4 weeks.  It is really hot right now as well getting up early has been a LIFE saver!
