Countdown to Triathlon 2010

Only 7 more days! Excited and ready to get on with it!  I had am awesome swimming lesson last week, it has bolstered my confidence.  I know I am capable of completing this challenge now it is time to get on with it!

Here is what I got done!

Sunday – rest day

Monday – Bike – 45 mins, hill work

Tuesday – Swim – 30 mins lake swim

Wednesday – Swim – 45 mins drills swimming lesson

Thursday – Rest day

Friday – Run/walk – 30 mins

Saturday – Brick – 30 mins of cyclying and 30 mins of walk/run

Things I learned this week:

  • You can teach an old dog new tricks!
  • kicking butt on my swimming

Goals for the Week Aug 15 – 21

Running – mon & wed  – steady state

Biking – tues & thurs short hill ride

Swimming – Every Morning at least 45 mins at the lake.

Now that I am feeling much better with the swimming… I feel much better to about getting into the lake.  Early morning swims to get used to the water temperature.

I will be sure to post a long update after the race is over and tell you all the juicy details
