Yoga – Downward Facing Dog

Welcome to a new series Yoga poses!

Nope, I am not a yoga instructor, I just enjoy doing it!  Since I started training last year, I have been doing more and more to stretch and strengthen my muscles.  The series will be poses that I love and new ones that I discover along my journey.

Downward Facing Dog – Adho Mukha Svanasana

This pose looks quite easy, but it will take some practice.  Personally I find that it relaxes and stretches my hamstrings and calves.

  1. Start on your hands and knees on a mat.
  2. Lift your legs until they are straight, push your butt in the air.
  3. Stretch your legs and your arms.

These little instructions are not nearly enough if you have never done this before, so I highly recommend you check out these resources.
