Follow Your Dreams
The phone call comes at work. Christie takes it, and at first, she thinks it’s a joke. A woman claims to be having an affair with her husband, Mark.
Christie had thought she had a near perfect marriage with Mark. Sure, he worked late, missed dinner, and there had been tension over her decision to return to work, but everyone had problems.
Now Christie realizes that her husband is a master of illusion. And as she begins her life without him, she enters a metaphysical world that leads to a series of incredible and sometimes bizarre adventures.
As Christie walks down this new path, she learns that perfection is an illusion and the only constant is change. She learns to listen to her inner guide. And she learns to ask herself, “What has time done to me?” The answer is that it has changed her very being.
Join Christie as she recovers from the pain of a failed marriage and learns that there is more to life than the obvious in Follow Your Dreams.

My favourite place to go is our local Chapters Indigo Book store, during the summer I would ride my bike over and spent several hours. Thankfully I was limited to how many books I could buy by how many I could carry on my bike. 🙂
I don’t typically read novels, but on one of my adventures to Chapters I happened on a book signing by local novelist Zoey Mahrie Taylor. Connecting right away with this first time novelist, since we lived in the same city and we are bother writers. I spent some time chatting and of course bought a signed copy of the book!
As I was saying I typically don’t read novels, not because I don’t like them they are much fun, but I just don’t seem to have the time. So many books, so little time to read. I picked a Sunday after noon to start reading… well I was hooked read the book all in one sitting.
There are so many great aspects that I loved.
Surprised by her husbands affair, our heroine, Christie picks up the pieces and rebuilds her life. The books takes us through the ups and downs of falling in love again, starting a business and the search for deeper meaning in her life. Supported by best friends, stories of traveling the Okanagan and Ogogpogo and riding Harleys, what more can you ask for?
This was quite an enjoyable quick read, I loved that it featured places in my local community. This is a perfect book for a Extreme Self Care day… either a bubble bath or a day at the beach!
I see the Zoey has a new book out this month… I am looking forward to reading this one as well.
