Smoothie Tips

Love love love smoothies and I am always trying out new combination’s of ingredients.    I will be sure to share some of my awesome mixtures soon.  For now here are a few tips.

Quick Tips

  • A good Blender is a MOST
  • Choose fresh or frozen fruit,  I am looking forward to the time when I can grow and freeze my own fruit
  • Smooth base start with almond or coconut milk
  • Don’t forget to add some greens… spinach has almost no flavour and kale has more
  • Green smoothies can be sweet or savory, I prefer the sweet 🙂
  • Bananas help to thicken the smoothie
  • A dash of vanilla enhances almost any flavour

    Banana~Strawberry Shake

    1 banana, cut in chunks, fresh or frozen
    6 strawberries, frozen
    1 1/4 cup water
    1 tbsp. coconut milk powder
    1 heaping tbsp. high-quality protein powder (optional)

    In a blender, process all the ingredients until thoroughly mixed and Enjoy!
