Brian Tracy says, “People only buy one thing – hope. So if you know how to give it to them, you’ll have no problems making it in any economy.” Every business owner has to think about three important words every day, those are competition, competition and competition. For many business owners, sales and marketing are the most important part of their business. If you are a business owner, your job is to ask people for money, and if you’re not asking for money, you are not working.
If you don’t love the product or service that you offer, you will never be able to sell it effectively. Then try to compare yourself because everything is comparison against your competitors. Also as a business owner, the most important thing that you can do is “thinking.” Thinking about your business clearly is the determining factor between success and failure.
Most companies usually started with a product that’s not perfect, and then they dedicate themselves to make their product better until they come up with a great product. There is something Brian calls the marketing mix. The first component is the product. Make sure that your product is suitable. It should be what people want, need and are willing to pay for. Second is the price. If your price is right, it will sell consistently at a profit. Third is promotion. It’s the method with which you sell the product. So these are the first three parts of the marketing mix, but you need to know others as well because if you don’t know them, you will have no chance of building a successful business.
