who would have thought that notebooks could be so important!
I got these great little notebooks that can easily fit into any purse, bag, back pack on the recommendation of Chris Brogan.
They are from Field Notes.
Cute right, definitely and practical. I also got the pencils too 🙂 I love using pencils instead of pens to write my notes.
So going along with the Zen to Done plan, I have my notebooks. I carry one or more with me all the time. I have a main one on my desk where I keep track of my tasks.
Everything from “shopping” list to “to do” list.
I haven’t quite figured out how to keep track of the pages, I am thinking some coloured sticky tabs.
The actual practice of writing things down has been easy it is something that I have done off and on for a while.
Keeping my inbox empty, this has been working well also. I do have multiple inboxes to manage, but that has not been in issue. Since I have been on vacation for the last two weeks, I have a few more things then I normally do, but I believe by the end of this week I will be back in good shape.
planning, planning, planning, I love planning, but I do want to work on my create both a vision and task lists together, to make sure I am staying on focus and being as productive as I can.
Something that I am definitely still working on is “getting zoned” getting so focused on a specific task that you plow through it and get it done quickly. I still easily get distracted. I love the variety in my day, but I need to work on time chunking for better results.
I am definitely committed to be more productive! So I am ready to keep moving forward with this practice of creating a better work style.
Next step will be to document my system, so that I can replicate it any time.
